Good evening SCE! Just a heads up we will be holding an intro to PCB workshop next week. The PCB workshop will introduce the basics of PCB design, manufacturing, and component sourcing. We will be going through the basics of how to use DipTrace, how to manufacture your PCB using Bay Area Circuits or Osh Park, as well as how to find components using mouser and digikey.

The workshop will be run by Khalil Estell who is the executive advisor of the Software and Computer Engineering Society. Please come by and learn more about him at the workshop. Hope to see everyone there!

We will be covering the following topics: drawing tool (Draw.io), external text editor (Sublime), understanding waveforms, debugging using the schematics, mapping out constraint files, introduction to tasks, etc. This workshop will be run by Vincent Chu, a Computer Engineer in his Senior year.

Fun Fact: Vincent enjoys making art our of paper. Some of his art pieces have been shown off in SCE this past week.

This SCE lab will be run by Sameer Nabeel Azer. Sameer is: an SJSU graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, currently enrolled in SJSU graduate program and employed by Essai, Inc.

This workshop requires basic C programming. You are allowed to follow along; however, this workshop will not provide any equipment for you to use

Very Important: This is a two part workshop. If you don’t attend the first workshop and attend the second workshop, we will not repeat information provided in the first workshop.

– DC closed loop control system

Introduction to Git Workshop

Hi SCE!

We will be hosting a introduction to Git workshop that will Will cover basic git and styles of workflow!

This workshop requires some experience with the Linux terminal AND have git installed in your machine either via command line or git bash.

This SCE lab will be run by RJ Javier. RJ is a graduating senior at SJSU in Computer Engineering for his Bachelor’s.

Will cover basic git conventions such as:
-Pulling and Pushing
-Using the Stash
-Branching
-Checking out commits
-Merging, Reverting, Rebasing, and a couple of different workflow styles
