Hello everyone! Here is an update on some events which happened and new events coming up.

Our members went to the Intel at SJSU Dinner event. They discussed career opportunities over dinner with Intel recruiters and learned a lot!
[✔️] AWS Workshop with Hashim Shah
The AWS Workshop was a success! Upcoming technical workshops are listed below.
[NEW] Data Exploration with Python with Emerson Ye  
Learn how to explore a dataset with Python and Jupyter Notebook to extract valuable insights! Beginner friendly, Python knowledge preferred but not required.

[NEW] Dockers and Containers with Hong Joon Chew
Docker containers are commonly used in the industry as an infrastructure tool to deploy various services in real time so users have the most on demand experience. Developers use this to test an application they built and custom fit it an environment.
This workshop will teach the benefits and uses of containerization and a short tutorial on getting started with using Docker containers.
When: Thursday, February 28, 6-8pm

Game night will include board games, video games, food, and (non-alcoholic) drinks. Bring whatever games you would like to play and any snacks you would like. Please RSVP so we have a headcount.

IBM Company Tour   
SCE has been invited to IBM’s Research Facility in Almaden. Come meet executives and scientists who will provide an overview of IBM Research and their view of the future of technology. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the corporate research environment. We will be carpooling to this event. Please sign up for this event as soon as you can as it is happening this Tuesday.

SAP SE Company Tour & Hiring
SAP SE is holding a company tour for SCE students. They are inviting 15 students to their Palo Alto site for to introduce us to iXP–the internship program for non-graduating undergraduate students. We will be given the opportunity to talk with hiring managers and internship alumni. They will also be bringing hiring managers, program managers, and others who will discuss full-time opportunities for graduating seniors.There will be carpools available and expect to leave at 1:30 pm.
